The Perinatal Group Support is a six-session program providing a supportive and nurturing environment for expectant and new mothers to come together, share experiences, and receive guidance and encouragement during the perinatal period. Facilitated by experienced professionals, the program addresses various topics relevant to pregnancy, childbirth, postpartum adjustment, and early parenthood.
Importance
The perinatal period is a time of significant physical, emotional, and social changes for individuals and their families. Having access to a supportive community can help alleviate feelings of isolation, anxiety, and uncertainty, while providing valuable resources and strategies for navigating the challenges of pregnancy and early parenthood.
Objectives:
The objective of the Perinatal Group Support program is to:
- Foster connections among participants and build a supportive community.
- Provide education and information on topics related to pregnancy, childbirth, and parenting.
- Offer emotional support, validation, and encouragement during the perinatal journey.
- Equip participants with practical tools and strategies for coping with the challenges and joys of pregnancy and early parenthood.
Maximum number of participants:
To ensure an intimate and supportive atmosphere, the maximum number of participants for each session is typically limited to 10-15 individuals.
